  2. Click on the Artifacts menu button on the left.

  3. Click on the +Crate New Artifact button.

  4. From the drop down menu select the appropriate artifact type.  Example: If you need to rebuild your instructional activities from Year 3, select Teaching_Instructional Activities.

  5. Click on the Select button.

  6. Rename the title appropriately, e.g. Beyer, Kenneth – Teachign_Instructional Activities_Year 3.

  7. Using the same procedures, rebuild this section to be similar, as used in your current portfolio.

Option: You can copy and paste the table setup from LiveText if you so choose; however, re-upload your documentation files.  Your LiveText documentation files will eventually not function.

Note: All documentation files need to be in the PDF format to function properly in Tk20.

  8. Click on the Create button.

  9. Repeat steps 4 - 8 for each section you need to create.

Part II - Adding Previous Years Information to your Tenure Portfolio

Note: The only time you need to bring in previous information into your portfolio is when you go for tenure and promotion to associate.  Starting in Years 1, 3, 4 5 you only document that particular year so in Year 3 you just document Year 3.  Year 2 you need document years 1 & 2 and when going up for tenure and promotion you display everything since becoming a NEIU tenure-track faculty member years 1 thru 6 (unless you go up early then year 1 thru x).

1.    Log in to Tk20, http://neiu.tk20.com

2.    Click on Portfolios on the left menu

3.    Click on the portfolio name, Tenure & Promotion 20xx.

4.    Under Additional Attachments (optional): click on the Select button.

5.    Click on the Select Existing tab

6.    Click the radio button next to the section you wish to add.

Note: Remember to add the sections in order your reviewers will see them, which is typically reverse chronological order. Instructional Activities Year 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

7.    Repeat this steps 4 - 6 for each section you need to add.

8.    Click on the Save button.
